SonicViz Soundtoy #3 - Mermaid game level 1
Prototypes #3, #4, and #5 can all be thought of as different
levels within a simple game environment. They were developed in collaboration
with
a
1st year
singing student. The concept was to develop a simple game environment
for a ~10 minute real-time performance interaction based around african
style vocal singing. The idea for the story came from a childrens book
on mermaid legends, in particular one about a mermaid living in an oasis
pool in the middle of the Sonoran desert.
